my complicated life

my hubby and i got to see Dubai movie today. too bad, the cast was here last night in Abu Dhabi and not today. even if we missed them, we still had a good night just watching the film though. dami kasing pinoy! just seeing pinoys queue from the movie house entrance and also at the ladies' comfort room, makes me miss philippine cinemas... yung Greenbelt, Megamall, ATC... hay, kaka-miss mag stroll sa mall ni Sy! =) .anyway, i kinda liked Milan than this film. although most of the hardships of the filipinos based in Dubai (or UAE) was not highlighted in the movie, still there are realistic things that can be seen such as:

• the skyscrapers
• OFWs that were not able to save even though they have been in the UAE for years (Aga). i am also guilty as charged. =(
• it is really difficult to make plants survive the heat. i have planted quite a handfuls already and only a few managed to survive
• Pokwang's character!!! hahaha
• three persons involve in a relationship
• beach parties / gatherings as simple gimik of pinoys
• delivery boys or drivers that dresses up
• endless bilins from the philippines, when in fact, it can be bought cheaper in pinas

the movie still managed to have me shed a tear....nakaka-relate pa din ako especially when the topic about making sacrifices for the family back home was mentioned.
